Meet David Lowe
At the helm of Unit7Props is David Lowe, a visionary prop master with a passion for storytelling. With an illustrious career spanning 30 years, David has honed their craft, earning a reputation for delivering exceptional props that seamlessly integrate with the artistic vision of directors, producers, and set designers.
Expertise and Innovation
Lowe’s wealth of experience encompasses a wide range of productions, from blockbuster films to theater productions and television series. Their keen eye for detail, innovative approach to prop design, and dedication to authenticity have made them a trusted collaborator in the entertainment industry.
My family would tell you that I was destined to be a mad inventor. As a child, I was always creating things from whatever household items I could sneak away with.
So I guess it was only natural that I fell into being a prop master and by default, custom fabricator for UCF theater productions. It became clear that this was my passion, and Unit 7 was created soon after my graduation.
I’ve now been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years and I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people and great companies through the years.
I could never do all this work alone. I collaborate with other artists, designers and fabricators who take as much pride as I do in being able to offer top quality results.
As a company, Unit 7 has the expertise to handle everything from hero props, sculpting & molding, models & miniatures, electronics and animatronics, as well as consulting on any project of any size.
Like any good fabricators, we constantly incorporate the newest technologies and materials in the mix. Some of our favorite “toys” that we get to use every day include 3-D resin printer, CNC machine, vacuum-forming machine, and programmable logic circuits.
We can work with you to create everything from the most intricate and detailed hero prop, to that unique set piece that you can’t find anywhere else. We can help turn your ideas and concepts into reality, or we can serve as consultants to ensure professional results.
